About Maaia
For over two decades, I partnered with my husband in our private medical practice while raising our family. For more than a decade, I volunteered with a local inner healing ministry and served on
the leadership team at a local church until 2017, when I felt called to step away and pursue a more personal and expansive spiritual path—to turn inward.
My love for humanity has taken me across the world - to Rwanda, Uganda, India, Brazil, and even North Korea - fueling my deep yearning to contribute to the wholeness of others.
If you're walking through a season of sacred grief, I invite you to step beyond the visible and into a deeper connection with the Divine, to remember who you truly are.
We are stronger and more resilient than we know, and now more than ever, the world needs each of us to rise with the remembrance that there's more to it than meets the eye.
This is how Heaven comes to earth.
Where It All Began

Two days after my son Nathan transitioned in July 2021, I awoke with the words echoing in my mind:
"It's not what it looks like."

I knew instantly it was him.
The words resonated, awakening an awareness that what I see physically is not all that exists.

As my family was preparing for his celebration of life, a Divine life force revived my spirit, filling me with renewed strength and gratitude for my son - a force of nature who continues to be present in love.

This realization opened a door to hope and the conviction that there is no true separation.

Thus began my journey of sacred grief. "It's not what it looks like," I heard again. "Look beyond what used to be and open your heart to the Spirit's infinite desire to pour into your life."

Grief is painful, but we can dare to move forward, anticipating the opening of heaven.

We've been taught that death is a final goodbye, but what if it isn't? What if "it's not what it looks like?"

I invite you to a place where we remember who we are: spirits having a human experience.
